Popular instant messaging app WhatsApp seems to be always working on some new features in order to offer a better experience to its users. Now, a report has surfaced online suggesting that the Facebook-owned company is working in support for stickers and pics.

The messaging app has been showing inline photos in the notification bar for quite some time. Now, the company is working on an enlarged photo format and is also testing the feature in the Android Pie beta build.

The WhatsApp beta build on Android Pie is now updated with a new format for viewing the images received by users on the notification panel. As reported by Android Police, the new format will show the images in the notification panel itself. The images will appear in enlarged format when user will expand the notification. The same feature will work for stickers as well. However, the functionality will not support GIFs and videos.

The report also adds that the new feature will work for users even in the group chat. Whenever a user will receive an image then a small thumbnail will appear on the left side of the notification. When a user will expand the notification then the image will appear on the right side with the rest of the text.
Presently, the company is working on this feature for Android Pie users but it will roll out the same on older version as well.

Last month, WhatsApp announced some new measures to take on the growing fake news in India. The company started radio campaigns across various Indian states, asking people to check the veracity of information received as a forward before they share it with others.

"The radio campaign will air starting today across 46 Hindi speaking stations of All India Radio (AIR) across Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand," a WhatsApp spokesperson said in a report.
