Fitbit Charge 3 launched in India, starts at Rs. 14,999

As the successor to 2016's Fitbit Charge 2, US-based Fitbit has launched its Charge 3 in India.

The new fitness tracker starts at Rs. 14,999 and comes with a touchscreen display, swim tracking mode, and other fitness-related features.

The company has also launched a special edition which comes with NFC-based payments support and costs Rs. 15,999.

The Fitbit Charge 3 features an all new black-and-white touchscreen screen, cased in a aluminum body and protected by Gorilla Glass 3 screen.

The new wearable is water resistant up to 50 meters and can last up to 7 days on a single charge.

Notably, Fitbit has opted for an "inductive button" over a physical one to offer haptic feedback.

Fitbit features an upgraded heart rate sensor and comes with a SpO2 sensor for monitoring blood oxygen levels.

In addition to a dedicated "Swim Mode", the wearable offers 15 goal-based exercise modes and connected GPS (via your phone).

Further, later this year, Fitbit will roll-out a Sleep Score beta feature which uses heart-rate tracking to monitor the quality of sleep.
