LG Signature Edition 2018 will be built using Zirconium Ceramic on the back to ensure that it does not get scratches.
LG has announced the launch of its Signature Edition 2018 smartphone in South Korea. The company also announced that the device is now available for pre-order in the market and it will go on sale starting from August 13, 2018. This new device is the follow up of the Signature Edition V30 with the ceramic back that the company launched in December last year. For the people who are not quite aware of the Signature Edition lineup, the company first launched the device built using premium materials and a price that was higher than the Apple iPhone X, and in limited quantity.

The company seems to be following the same philosophy with the Signature Edition 2018 as the device will be built using Zirconium Ceramic on the back to ensure that it does not get scratches. As initially spotted by FoneArena, the press release by the company stated that users will have the option to have their name engraved on the back of the smartphone and on the leather wallet case for the device. the new device comes with updated internals to keep up with the flagship smartphones in the market.

On the specifications front, the LG Signature Edition 2018 comes with a 6-inch QHD+ OLED HDR10-ready display with 18:9 tall aspect ration, 2880×1440 pixels. LG has added Snapdragon 845 SoC with 6GB RAM, 256GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot to increase the storage with up to 2GB of storage. The device will run Android 8.o Oreo out of the box while running on 3,300 mAh battery.

Choi Jeong-gyu, the President for LG Electronics Sales office issued a statement on the launch of the device, “Our customers will be able to feel the value they have never experienced in a smartphone before.” He went on to add, “We will provide ultra-premium value in terms of design.”

Other features include DTS X 3D stereo sound and a dual 16-megapixel camera setup on the back with AI chops. One of the two 16-megapixel sensors will come with f/1.6 aperture and a regular field of video while the second sensor will come with f/1.9 with a wider field of video. The front of the device comes with an 8.0-megapixel camera. The company is also offering B & O Beoplay H9i headphones to potential buyers. The device has been priced at 1999800 South Korean won which amounts to Rs 1,22,942 at the time of writing.
