Oppo Find X Specifications and Features
Oppo Find X marks the re-entry of company’s Find series after more than four years. Like all other Find series smartphones in the past, the new Find X also stands out for its industrial design. While Oppo N1 brought with it a rotating selfie camera, the new Find X aims to make pop-up selfie camera mainstream. The selling point of the device is the motorized camera module, which lifts to reveal the dual rear camera setup and a front camera system that also supports 3D facial recognition.

The use of a motorized camera assembly allows for a design with minimal bezels surrounding the display, and gets rid of notch seen on most flagship smartphones. On the hardware front, Oppo has equipped the Find X with a 6.42-inch AMOLED display offering a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels, and taller aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The smartphone features aluminum frame with Gorilla Glass on the front as well as rear.

The Find X is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM, and comes with 256GB internal storage. It has pop-up dual rear camera setup comprising of 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel image sensors, and a pop-up 25-megapixel selfie shooter. The selfie camera array also includes infrared sensor and dot projector similar to Apple’s Face ID for 3D face recognition. While its primary rival Vivo NEX includes an in-display fingerprint sensor, Oppo has decided to drop fingerprint sensor altogether.

In terms of connectivity, the Oppo Find X supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and 4G LTE. It runs ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, and is backed by a 3,730mAh battery. At a retail price of Rs 59,990, the Oppo Find X competes against Huawei P20 Pro with triple camera setup, Samsung Galaxy S9+ with premium design, and the Apple iPhone X with edge-to-edge display design.
