Realme 2 with dual rear cameras, display notch to launch in India : Details, expected features and more

Realme, Oppo’s online-only brand, is now separated from the parent company, and it is all set to launch the second smartphone in India today. Called Realme 2, Realme and e-commerce site Flipkart have been teasing the launch of the smartphone, along with a few key features for the past few days now. The launch event was to took place in Delhi yesterday at 12:30PM, and the company will also be live streaming the event on YouTube.

Flipkart has already published a microsite revealing that the Realme 2 will embrace the notch, and it is being dubbed as “A Notch Above”. It will feature a 6.2-inch display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 aspect ratio. The Realme 2 is also set to offer dual rear camera setup, which was missing from the original Realme 1. The company teaser has also revealed a massive 4,320mAh battery, up by 800mAh compared to the Realme 1.

Realme has also confirmed that the smartphone will be priced at the sub-Rs 10,000 price point, which means it will be competing with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Honor 7A, and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 to name a few.

Specifications of the smartphone have also been leaked, according to which the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core SoC. Users could choose from two variants – 32GB+3GB, and 64GB+4GB. In the photography department, a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear camera setup is expected to be in tow, along with an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.
