The company has launched three laptops, and an All-In-One (AIO).
Taiwanese technology major Acer has refreshed its Aspire line-up of personal computers with a handful of new products, at the ongoing IFA 2018 consumer electronics show in Berlin. These include the Aspire 3, Aspire 5, and Aspire 7 laptops, as well as the Aspire Z24 All-In-One (AIO) PC.
Aspire 3
An entry-level notebook, the new Aspire 3 packs a 14-inch FullHD display. Having up to 8GB of RAM and an (optional) built-in DVD drive, the laptop is ideally suited for office and home computing needs. The laptop has all regular connectivity ports, including HDMI (x1) and USB (x3). It comes in a variety of colors. It has a starting price of 399 Euros (approximately Rs 32,900), and will be available in EMEA regions by December this year.
Aspire 5
Blending elegant design with powerful features, the Aspire 5 offers the best of both worlds. The laptop has a 15.6-inch FullHD IPS display with Acer’s ‘Color Intelligence’ feature, which allows users to adjust gamma and saturation levels in real time. The Aspire 5 has (up to) Intel’s eighth-generation Core i7 CPU, complete with Gigabit Wi-Fi and an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete GPU. It also features Acer’s TrueHarmony audio technology. With prices starting at 549 Euros (approximately Rs 45,250), the Aspire 5 will reach EMEA regions by December 2018.
Aspire 7
The top-of-the-line Aspire 7 is targeted at content creators and professionals. Having an all-metal chassis, the notebook weighs just 1.5kg. It has a 15.6-inch IPS display with minimal bezels and a resolution of up to 3840×2160 pixels. The laptop is powered by Intel’s eighth-generation Core i7 (8705G or 8305G) CPU, paired with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage. The Aspire 7 also features Radeon RX Vega M GL graphics with 4GB graphics memory and a backlit keyboard. Some other custom solutions for enhancing the audio-visual experience are also on-board, including Acer ‘ColorBlast,’ ‘Acer Color Intelligence,’ and ‘Acer TrueHarmony’.
Aspire Z24
The Aspire Z24 is an All-In-One (AIO) PC that’s ideal for both home and office computing. Just 11mm thin, the Z24 is built around a 23.8-inch FullHD IPS display with minimal bezels. The display has 10-point multi-touch support and a viewing angle of up to 178 degrees. Acer’s newest AIO is equipped with a far-field quad-microphone array, which allows users to talk hands-free to either Cortana or Alexa (the entire new Aspire line-up features Amazon Alexa integration). In terms of hardware, the Aspire Z24 is powered by Intel’s eighth-generation Core i7 CPU, with support for up to 32GB of Intel Optane memory and NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics. The Aspire Z24 series has a starting price of 899 Euros (approximately Rs 74,100), and will be available in both North America and EMEA by October.
